A Murray woman is facing an attempted murder charge, after she allegedly stabbed one victim and assaulted another with a shovel.
According to the Murray Police Department, officers responded to Goodwill on Tuesday just after 1:30 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they were able to locate two victims—one victim had sustained a stab wound, and was flown to a regional hospital for treatment of the injury.
Investigation determined the second assault victim had been struck with a shovel. Further investigation led to the arrest of 30-year-old Madison Hinchey of Murray, who is charged with attempted murder, second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault.
The Murray-Calloway County Ambulance Service, the Murray Fire Department, AirEvac and the Calloway County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
