Clarksville Fire Rescue crews get to visit with baby they helped deliver

EMS staff and rescue crew members with Clarksville Fire Rescue had a special visitor on Tuesday—and they last time they saw this visitor, she was being born.

In the early morning hours at November 13, Rescue 10 and Engine 8 were called to a home for reports that a woman was in labor. At 38 and a half weeks, new mother Kelly woke up with contractions and just knew it was baby-time. Her husband called 911 at 5:54 and just a few minutes after, Ember made her arrival into the world at 6:10 a.m.

With mom in active labor when they arrived, crews knew they had to act quickly, and they helped deliver a healthy Ember safely.

This week, they got to visit with a now six-month old Ember, this time, under much calmer circumstances.
