KHSAA releases projected football alignment for 2027-28

The KHSAA released its projected alignment for the 2027-28 football season.

In Class 6-A, Region 1, Daviess County returns to play along with the new Christian County High School, McCracken County, and Henderson County.

Perennial power South Warren was placed in Region 2 with North Hardin, Meade County, and Central Hardin.

New Christian County High School Head Football Coach Dustin Lopez said he was pleased with the new alignment due the familiarity with the opponents.

In an interesting change in Class 2-A, the projected alignment for Region 1 would include Caldwell County, Fort Campbell, Todd County Central, Trigg County, and Mayfield.

The KHSAA Board of Control must approve the alignment at its next meeting later this spring.
