A man was injured after being ejected from a vehicle in a crash in Crofton Friday afternoon.

It happened on East Princeton Street in north Christian County just before 5:30 p.m. and Christian County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer John Godsey reports that a pickup truck had been heading westbound when it ran off the roadway for an unknown reason.

The vehicle traveled through a creek and struck a fire hydrant before stopping.

The 23-year-old male driver was ejected in the crash, but was alert and conscious when first responders arrived. Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers tells WHOP News that the patient was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries and is believed to be in stable condition.
