Following it’s recent renaming, the community is invited to attend a dedication ceremony at the newly dubbed Steve Tribble West Side Bridge.
It will take place at the Christian County Justice Center, which is located right by the newly named bridge, located by the Christian County Jail and Little River Park in downtown Hopkinsville. Organizer John Atkins says it will take place at 2 p.m. on May 8 and he invites the community to come celebrate the legacy of former Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble.
Tribble served as Christian County’s Judge Executive from 1994 until 2023, and Tribble is a proud ‘west-sider’, having grown up on Hopkinsville’s west side. Atkins says this is to honor the impact Tribble has had on this community and all he’s done to benefit the whole of Christian County.
Hopkinsville City Council voted to designated the West Seventh Street bridge as the Steve Tribble West Side Bridge at the April 22 city council meeting.
