Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 64-year-old William Steinhoff of Franfort, Ohio after he reportedly got into a multi-vehicle wreck while he was under the influence of alcohol.
According to a report, Steinhoff was speeding while driving on the Pennyrile Parkway where he side-swiped a car causing it to spin-out before he rear-ended a tractor trailer. Steinhoff’s vehicle then hit the guard rail before it reportedly bounced off and hit the tractor trailer again.
Deputies made contact with Steinhoff at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and he reportedly could not remember what happened before the collision. Hospital staff tested Steinhoff’s blood and the results reportedly showed that he was intoxicated with alcohol.
Steinhoff was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, first-degree criminal mischief, operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failure to produce an insurance card.
