Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 early Friday morning.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, it happened at approximately 2:20 a.m. near the 78-mile-marker in the eastbound lanes. It involved a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer, with the vehicle, driven by 39-year-old Thiago De Freitas of Utah, running into the back of the semi, which was driven by 37-year-old Eric Payne of Missouri.
The collision sent the passenger vehicle off the roadway, where it struck a fence.
De Freitas and three passengers in his vehicle were all transported to Vanderbilt Health in Clarksville for treatment of injuries. Payne was not injured in the crash.
