University Heights Academy and Christian County were among the boys’ golf teams competing in the Trigg County Invitational on Thursday at Boots Randolph Golf Course.
Cal Givens led University Heights with a 77. Nash McAfee had an 82 and Courtland Gibson had an 87 as the Blazers finished fifth as a team with a 338. Michael Flynn had a 92 and Luca Torres finished at 96.
For Christian County, Henry Riggs carded the low score of 87 and Cansler Wells had an 88. The Tigers finished 10th in the tournament with a team score of 357. Matt Baker had an 89 and Isaiah Wood finished the day with a 93. Jack Long also carded a 94 for the Tigers.
McCracken County won the team title with a 288. Madisonville-North Hopkins was second with a 314 and Marshall County took third at 319.
Christian County will host the Christian County Invitational today at Western Hills Golf Course. Boys and girls golfers from CCHS, UHA, and Heritage Christian Academy will be among competitors in the event.
