Arts council launches its Annual Fund Drive to support the local arts

The Pennyroyal Arts Council is inviting the community to donate to its Annual Fund Drive to support the local arts ahead of the 2026-27 season.

In a news release, the council shared that this year’s campaign is right ahead of the council’s 50th anniversary. The council was founded in July of 1977 with the goal of preserving the arts. According to the council, annually the Alhambra Theatre has over 41,000 patrons, the council connects with over 15,000 students and the theatre helps generate $2 million of economic impact in Christian County.

Council Board of Directors President Bri Smith says as they look to the upcoming season, they do so with an overwhelming sense of excitement, gratitude and a renewed commitment to the future of the arts in the community.

Folks can donate to the fund drive at pennyroyalarts.org/donate and physical checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 1038, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
