Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in Todd County on Saturday that ended in the death of two women and sent another to the hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to Kentucky State Police, it happened on June 20 in the 600 block of Gates Road in Elkton, when first responders were called for reports of a shooting. Preliminary investigation has identified that 69-year-old Elvis Belcher of Elkton allegedly shot and killed 53-year-old Denise Bullion and 36-year-old Jacqueline Bullion, both of Elkton.
Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Todd County Coroner.
Following the initial shooting, Belcher was found nearby suffering from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a Nashville hospital for treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
