A man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Oak Grove from November of last year is now in custody.
WSMV in Nashville reports that the United States Marshal Service for Middle Tennessee took 28-year-old Avery Montell Bates of Clarksville into custody in Clarksville Wednesday. Bates is accused of firing a gun at Jaylin Glenn outside of a business in Oak Grove on November 23, 2025.
Glenn would die of his injuries from a gunshot wound.
Bates was identified as the possible shooting in December. He was arrested Wednesday and lodged into the Montgomery County Jail, where he now awaits extradition back to Kentucky.
