One of the men seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Pembroke Road has died from his injuries at a Nashville hospital.
According to an obituary from Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, 84-year-old Jack Crawford passed away on Monday, June 1 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville from complications caused by the crash.
As previously reported, Crawford had been operating his vehicle out of the parking lot of the BBQ Shack on Pembroke Road, but couldn’t see oncoming traffic due to another vehicle reportedly blocking his line of sight. He pulled out of the parking lot and into the path of a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Gabriel Stout of Pembroke and the two collided.
Crawford was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he would die of his injuries. Stout was transported to Vanderbilt Clarksville with serious injuries, and a passenger in his vehicle went to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
