Speaking WHOP Radio Wednesday morning, TVA Senior Manager of Demand Management Ashley England says we’re all looking forward to those hot summer days, but now is the time to make check on those HVAC units and see if they need a tune-up or even an upgrade. Businesses have some energy savings options as well, with England saying the TVA can help businesses find ways to save money, update units, smart energy starter kits and more.
Outside of updating your HVAC units, there’s plenty of ways to save on energy and on your cooling bills this summer. England says make sure your ceiling fans are circulating air efficiently, keep those curtains closed during the heat of the day and make sure you’re keeping your air filters clean, as dirty filters can cause strain on your system overall.
