Oak Grove is bracing for impact, as the annual Spring Into Summer: Salutes Fort Campbell Festival is set to take over the Oak Grove Memorial Walking Trail on Memorial Day weekend.
There’s quite the schedule of events and musical acts planned for the two-day festival, with the gates opening at noon on Saturday, May 23 and running all the way through 9 p.m. During that time, there will be food and drink vendors, a trampoline stunt show, a live concert starting at 7 p.m. and Tourism Director Traci Cunningham says parachute jumpers will put on a special show to get the concert rocking.
Following the concert, which is headlined this year by country music artist Brett Young, Cunningham says don’t take off, because a drone light show will happen immediately after that concert.
The gates for the festival will reopen at noon on Sunday, May 24, with the carnival rides back and ongoing performances by Flippenout, a trampoline stunt show, and Cunningham says it’s really something to watch.
Cunningham did remind that there are no pets allowed during the festival, for the safety of those attending and the animals themselves. The Spring Into Summer: Salutes Fort Campbell Festival is completely free to attend, including the concert, though he might bring some spending money to grab food or items from a vendor.
