The Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA is hosting its third annual Spin for a Cause fundraising event on May 18 to support the facility’s outreach programs.
During the event, folks can sign up for 30-minute rides on stationary bikes and can gather sponsors to support their rides. Funds from the event will benefit the YMCA’s scholarship programs, which provide financial assistance for membership, summer camp, swim lesson and youth sports fees; Rock Steady Boxing; the Youth Feeding Program; the Spirit, Mind and Body Youth Camp, after-school tutoring and senior fitness programs.
Spin for a Cause Campaign Chair Carter Hendricks says the YMCA plays such an important role in the community’s health, wellness and quality of life, and every donation empowers the YMCA to do even more good.
Spin for a Cause takes over the local YMCA from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 18. Those interested in signing up to ride or volunteering can call 270-887-5382. Folks can also make donations to the YMCA at hopkinsvilleymca.org/donate.
