Shanti Wilson scored 13 of her game-high 21 points in the second half and helped the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers defeat Caldwell County 55-45 Thursday night in the second game of the Toyota of Hopkinsville Holiday Hoops Classic in Tiger Gym.
Wilson hit three of her five 3-pointers to open the second half and earn Most Valuable Player of the Game honors and Hoptown opened up a 41-32 lead entering the final quarter.
Caldwell had gone on a 7-0 run at the end of the second quarter to tie the game at 24 at halftime.
Lee Lee Love and Alicia Davis got into the scoring act in the fourth quarter and helped Hopkinsville push its lead to 14.
Davis ended the game with 14 points and Love had 13 for Hopkinsville, which improved to 3-2 on the season.
Medi Thomas led Caldwell (2-2) with 17 points and Tink Clark added 13.
Hoptown is back in action Monday night at home against Todd County Central.
