After the work week began with below average regional temperatures for late fall, the temperatures are projected to rise to above average levels through the week.
Forecaster Rachel Trevino with the National Weather Service in Paducah says the weather across Western Kentucky is set to be quiet and mild with no major rainfall. Trevino says Monday’s below average temperatures will rise going into Tuesday before a cold front moves through the region, but temperatures will continue to rise.
Looking into next week, Trevino says temperatures are projected to be well above average along with below average precipitation. For those hoping for a white Christmas Trevino says it will not likely occur.
Trevino also talked about Saturday’s tornado which traveled through Clarksville into Todd County.
Trevino says the tornado was an EF2 and caused damaged to trees, barns and homes. However, in comparison to the tornadoes path through Clarksville, Trevino says Todd County did not receive the brunt of the damage.
