The Heritage Christian Academy Warriors baseball team is hoping to “make some noise” in the 2025 season, according to second-year coach Jeremy Hall.
The Warriors are coming off a 9-16 season in 2024 and will have to replace captain Bradley Boyd, who graduated last year.
Boyd was the leader of the team, hitting .333 and was the No. 1 pitcher with a 2-4 record and 7.88 ERA.
But don’t worry, HCA has plenty of firepower returning including senior Jayden Nichols, who led the team on the mound with three wins a year ago. He went 3-1 with a 3.89 ERA. Junior Collin Outland and sophomore Ethan Miles, who went 2-3 with 60 strikeouts in 2024 also should help out on the hill.
Offensively, Outland brings his .317 batting average and team-leading four triples back this season. Junior Caden Gresham hit .406 a year ago and led the team with 28 hits. Miles also hit .314 a year ago.
Hall said the team also will be helped out by four eighth graders.
In a tough District 8 that includes perennial powers Christian County, Hopkinsville, and University Heights Academy, Hall said he hopes his Warriors can improve on last year and “make some noise” in 2025.
The Warriors open the season Monday at home against Webster County. However, Hall says the starting lineup remains in flux and several positions are still open and will be decided by practice performance.

Coach’s Outlook: “I am optimistic that this season will be an improvement from last season, which was an improvement on the season before it. Our goal was a team is to grow each year spiritually, physically, and developmentally. Heritage Christian Academy is more than just a school, it’s a family. Our family has seen some additions and departures over the course of the offseason; however, we believe that we will show vast improvement this year and are closer to competing for a district title. We believe in each other and have confidence that the work we put in off the field can and will translate to a competitive on-field product.”
