The United Way of the Pennyrile will soon officially launch this year’s fundraising campaign, and this will feature a Barbie-themed kick-off event set for September 4.
According to a news release, the community breakfast will take place on September 4 at 7 a.m. at the Senior Citizen’s Center on West Seventh Street in Hopkinsville—and the event is open to the public.
The theme for this year’s campaign is “Give Unlimited Possibilities, inspired by the Barbie motto of “Anything is possible”. The United Way believes in creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, saying when folks unite and give, anything is possible.
The breakfast kick-off will include updates from the campaign cabinets, a report on pacesetter totals and the official announcement of the campaign goal. Starting September 4, the campaign will run through the end of November.
Funds raised by the campaign go back to support 16 partner agencies in the community that serve Christian, Todd and Trigg counties that offer vital services that help individuals and families in need in the community.
