The third-seed Christian County Colonels have the full attention of host University Heights Academy entering tonight’s Boys’ District 8 Soccer Tournament championship match.
The Colonels have 15 seniors and proved they would be a difficult out of the postseason with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Hopkinsville Tuesday night in the semifinals.
UHA coach Josh Nichols said his top-seeded Blazers better be ready tonight.
The two teams met Sept. 5 at Givens Field with the Blazers escaping with a 3-2 win.
Christian County coach Avery Seeger said his team will have to continue its recent strong play to be able to defeat the Blazers.
UHA is looking to win its fifth straight District 8 soccer title while Christian County is hoping to get its first District 8 tournament title since 2014.
Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 6 and tickets are $8 at the gate and cash only.
