U.S. Marshals arrest man charged with murder in 2019 fatal Clarksville shooting

The United States Marshals have arrested a man last week in connection with a murder in Clarksville that occurred in 2019.

According to a news release, the fatal shooting occurred on October 28, 2019. Clarksville Police Department officer had responded to a call of shots fired in the area of 16 Hand Village Avenue in Clarksville, where they discovered that 22-year-old Srdyrin Brown had been shot. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital. 

In June of 2024, a warrant was issued calling for the arrest of 22-year-old Turnity Rossell on a charge of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in connection with the shooting. 

On October 17, U.S. Marshals located Rossell at a residence in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was placed under arrest. After initially lying about his identity, he was soon taken into custody without incident.
