A residence on Twyman Square in Hopkinsville was badly damaged by fire early Thursday morning.
According to the Hopkinsville Fire Department, a caller in the area of the 1800 block of Twyman Square noticed flames coming from the back of a home and immediately called 911 at about 12:30 a.m. Firefighters responded within five minutes and were able to extinguish the fire with ease.
The structure was unoccupied at the time.
Investigation is underway to determine what the cause of the blaze could be.
