Two Murray men arrested on rape charges in two separate incidents

The Murray Police Department has arrested two men on rape charges, following investigation into two separate incidents of reported sexual assault.

According to a news release, an investigation began on September 25 when the Murray Police Department was informed of an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. Investigation led to the arrest of 28-year-old Matthew Adams of Murray on two counts of first-degree rape, three counts of distribution of obscene matter to a minor and one count of first-degree indecent exposure.

The Vanderbilt University Police Department and the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.

Murray Police have also arrested 39-year-old Dustin Owen of Murray and charged him with one count of third-degree rape and custodial inference. Those charges stem from a recent investigation into a reported sexual assault.
