Two juveniles have been taken into custody by the Hopkinsville Police Department in connection with a multi-burglary investigation.
According to a news release, detectives with HPD have been investigating a string of burglaries at the same location over a short period of time. On Thursday morning, officers responded to an alarm the store in the 800 block of Country Club Lane and upon arrival, one suspect fled the scene while another was captured in the building, actively taking merchandise.
The suspect who fled was later located and a search of his residence allegedly revealed evidence of the other burglaries—both suspects were interviewed and at least one admitting to committing multiple burglaries within the city.
They are charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of criminal mischief and attempted burglary.
