The Trigg County Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to unveil a new local landmark—a 10 foot tall statue affectionately dubbed the Cadiz-Trigg County Piggy.Â
This one-of-a-kind statement piece is a 10-foot tall pig statue that will adorned with images of scenic Cadiz and Trigg County, and those looking to meet this newest pig will be able to find it at Broadbent Square at 5895 Hopkinsville Road—folks travelling on Highway 68 will be able to see the pig, and people can stop and take pictures with it as well.
The Cadiz-Trigg County Piggy has been designed to highlight the unique features of Trigg County that make it appealing to both locals and tourists including the Country Ham Festival, Land Between the Lakes, Lake Barkley State Resort Park, the Janice Mason Art Museum, along our community’s foundation as an agriculture community with a tobacco barn, cow, and much more.
It will also highlight the many pig statues that already call the area home, and eventually, a contest to name the Cadiz-Trigg County Piggy will be held. That name, whatever it will be, will be unveiled at the Trigg County Ham Festival.
The unveiling of the pig is set for Friday, September 6 at 11:30 a.m.
