One of the top high school players in the country will be in Hopkinsville in two weeks for the 2024 Toyota of Hopkinsville Holiday Classic, which will be played Dec. 12-14 at Hopkinsville High School.
Caleb Wilson, a 6-foot-9, 205-pount forward with Wilson Academy from Georgia, will be playing Prolific Prep out of California at 1:15 p.m. in Tiger Gym on Dec. 14. Wilson is one of the key players that Kentucky coach Mark Pope is hoping to sign out of the class of 2025. Prolific Prep features 5-star prospect AJ Dybantsa, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound forward, who has received offers from Brigham Young, Alabama, and North Carolina. Prolific Prep also will play Iowa United at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 13.
Wilson already has visited with Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina, but plans to make a visit to Ohio State. He also lists Duke, Arkansas, Auburn, and Alabama among teams on his list.
Wilson Academy also will play Hoptown at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Tickets for the Dec. 12 and 13 sessions are $10. The Dec. 14 session is $12 and an all session pass is $20. They can be purchased at gofan.co.
