Three-vehicle wreck results in injuries

Officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department are investigating a three-vehicle wreck that resulted in injuries on East 9th Street, Tuesday evening.

According to a collision report, Tabitha Revelett of Princeton was operating a vehicle on East 9th Street and stopped at a red light at the intersection of South Virginia Street. Once stopped, Revelett was reportedly rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Melissia Curtis of Cadiz.

Curtis told officers that she was coming to a stop behind Revelett’s vehicle when she was reportedly rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Scotty Highsmith of Hopkinsville. When Curtis was rear-ended by Highsmith she says her vehicle was pushed forward into Revelett’s vehicle.

Highsmith says he attempted stopping, but his vehicle slid resulting in the collision.

Curtis complained of neck and back pain and was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
