The week is starting out cold, but it’s looking drier as we head into the work week with a small warm-up towards the weekend.
Meteorologist Andy Lesage with the National Weather Service in Paducah says the week is starting out cold, with a freeze warning in place overnight and similar temperatures likely Tuesday and Wednesday, before things start to warm up.
Halloween is looking downright chilly, so make sure you and your trick-or-treaters bundle up while you’re hunting down candy.
After that, in the 8-to-14-day outlook, things are trending near normal temperature wise, with a slightly above average chance of precipitation.
Lesage says the recent rain, which dropped several inches across western Kentucky, will help mitigate some of the drought status that was creeping back into the area, and should help river levels adjust back to more normal standards.
