Tennessee Highway Patrol investigating fatal crash involving Clarksville Fire Rescue vehicle

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating following a two-vehicle crash involving a Clarksville rescue vehicle Monday morning that resulted in a fatality.

According to Clarksville Fire Rescue, the wreck occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Peachers Mill Road as the Rescue vehicle was responding to a structure fire. The Clarksville Fire Rescue employee was transported to the hospital, where they were treated and released, while the victim in the other vehicle was killed in the collision.

Traffic was shut down in those areas for several hours and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating.

On social media, Clarksville Fire Rescue says, “Our deepest sympathy goes out to the victim’s family and we ask for prayers for everyone affected by this traffic accident as we navigate this difficult and unfamiliar time.”
