Tandy joins Cleveland Browns’ coaching staff

Former Christian County High School football star Keith Tandy has joined the Cleveland Browns as assistant special teams coach after spending six seasons as a defensive/special teams assistant for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Tandy was a member of the coaching staff for Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl LV championship in his first year with the team in 2020.

At Christian County, Tandy passed for 8,609 yards and 90 touchdowns.

After high school, Tandy attended West Virginia University and played safety where he earned All-American honors from SI.com and Rivals.com. As a redshirt senior in 2011, he started all 13 games, recording 64 tackles (50 solo), two tackles-for-loss, four interceptions and nine passes defensed. His four interceptions led the team and ranked third in the Big East.

Tandy was taken in the sixth round by the Buccaneers. He played with the Bucs and Atlanta Falcons from 2012-18 before joining Tampa Bay’s coaching staff as an assistant special team’s coach in 2020.
