Hopefully you’re enjoying the fall weather that’s brought sunshine and dry weather to the region, because it’s going to be more of the same this week.
That’s according to Meteorologist Kate Shawkey with the National Weather Service in Paducah, who says you can’t really complain about the weather—there will be mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine.
That does mean, however, that drought conditions are slowly creeping back in the longer we go without substantial rainfall.
As for the future, it’s looking like warmer temperatures might be the norm for our winter season—though of course only time will tell—and Shawkey says that’s fairly typical for a La Nina weather pattern.
In the 8-to-14 day outlook, it’s looking pretty likely we’ll have above average temperatures in store, with near normal chances of precipitation.
