Logan jumped to a 2-0 lead in the third inning using a pair of hits and an error.

However, the Colonels responded with three runs in the bottom of the third. Boehman had an RBI-single and later scored on an error. Chase Fort and Gage Montes also scored as Christian County took a 3-2 lead.
