South Warren used a big third quarter to break open a close game and defeat Hopkinsville 76-60 Saturday in a boys’ high school basketball game at Henderson County.
The Spartans (9-3) led 41-36 at the halftime break, but the Tigers’ offense went cold in the third quarter and South Warren pushed its lead to 62-42.
The Tigers slip to 3-7 and were led by James Bradley’s 15 points. DeAvery Ramey added 12 for Hoptown.
Hopkinsville is back in action Friday at home against Owensboro at 4:30 p.m.
