The U.S. Small Business Administration is urging those who experienced losses or damages during April’s historic flooding and severe weather to apply for a disaster assistance loan through their office.
If you are in Christian, Hopkins, or the numerous other impacted counties, you could be eligible for a low-interest loan through the SBA to help recover. Public affairs specialist Lane Davis appeared on WHOP recently and says they’re offering loans to cover physical damage, economic injury and personal property.
He says even if you think you don’t have enough damage to apply—you might be surprised by what could be approved, so apply anyways, and these loans are open to both homeowners and renters.
Davis says businesses and non-profits could be eligible for up to $2 million, with varying amounts available upon survey of damages.
