A single-vehicle rollover wreck resulted in injuries on Fort Campbell Boulevard near Novadell Way on Thanksgiving.
According to a report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, Christopher Byas of Clarksville was driving north on the boulevard with a passenger in his car. As Byas was driving, for an unknown reason, his car went off the roadway and rolled over multiple times.
Officers questioned Byas, and he reportedly told them that he did not remember why the wreck occurred. While they were talking to Byas, officers reportedly smelled alcohol coming from his person.
A witness reportedly told officers that as Byas was passing her car, she veered off the left side of the roadway because she was scared that she was going to get hit. She then reported hearing a noise and looked in her rear-view mirror to see Byas’ car flip multiple times.
Byas was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, while his passenger, Kenya Harris, was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for her injuries.
