Sen. McConnell urges Congress to pass Farm Bill

The United States Senate Minority Leader is urging Congress to pass a Farm Bill, saying the farmers of America don’t have time for partisan politics.

Speaking on the Senate Floor, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky says today’s farmers face a lot of uncertainties, from the weather to the state of trade worldwide, and they depend on the Farm Bill to remain a point of stability.

He says the committee that crafts the Farm Bill has always been a bipartisan effort, and he urges his colleagues to do the same and get this legislation passed.

The senator says the Farm Bill should be about just that—farmers and farmers.

The Farm Bill sets Agriculture policy and helps ensure farmers are able to meet American’s food supply demands.
