After a closed session discussion, the Christian County School Board voted to appoint Ambrea Watkins to fill the vacant District Two Representative seat at their special called meeting on Monday.
During their discussion the board discussed between the three candidates, Watkins, Virginia Erxleben and Marsha Garnett who all met the requirements for the position. Board chair Tom Bell read the motion to appoint Watkins to the position.
Now that Watkins is approved to take the vacant seat, she will be finishing the term of Tiffany Mumford Brame who resigned in early October. Watkins will take office immediately and be sworn in at the board’s November 16 meeting alongside District Four Representative Rebecca Pepper.
