Missionary Radio is launching its Spring Friend Raiser on Tuesday and invites the community to support their mission of providing Christian ministry and music broadcasts across the region.
The radio is 100% listener-funded and operates in the Pennyrile region and Missionary Radio General Manager Ken Cummins appeared on WHOP to highlight their work and the fundraiser. Throughout the region, Cummins says they have radio stations operating in Hopkinsville, Madisonville, Hardin, Providence, Dickson and Murray.
Cummins says the funds from the Friend Raiser will go toward their operating costs, outreach efforts and staying on the air.
Cummins welcomes any donations big and small. He is also calling on churches to support their work, because Missionary Radio is reaching a wide range of people that may not attend church in person.
The Friend Raiser runs from Tuesday to Thursday and people can call 877-885-9655 or go to missionary.radio to donate. Cummins says donations are welcomed year round
