The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is inviting the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new StoryWalk.
According to a news release, the StoryWalk was completed in partnership with Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation and offers those walking along the Hopkinsville Greenway Trail near the library an interactive reading experience.
Instead of flipping from page to page, those on the StoryWalk will travel from sign to sign where pages from a story will be posted. The StoryWalk covers roughly a quarter of a mile of the trail.
Library Executive Director, Tiffany Luna says the StoryWalk is motivating physical wellness and literacy. The first being featured on the StoryWalk will be, “We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt” by Steve Metzger.
The ribbon cutting is set for Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the library.
