Public library hosts spring break activities for local students

Local public schools are out for spring break and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is hosting a week full of fun activities for kids in the community.

The events got underway Monday with the No Sleep Slumber Party and will continue on Tuesday with LEGOs and Friends. Kids can come out and build LEGOs, make pock sockets and play some Beanboozled Trivia.

On Wednesday, Pokémon lovers are invited to a party where they can make their own pokeballs and search the library for Pokémon. Then the library will be transformed into a BINGO hall for Family Bingo Night and prizes will be given out on Thursday.

Music and dancing will take over the library on Friday for a Karaoke Party. The events on Monday through Friday are set from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the library.

Then the week concludes on Saturday with the library taking things outside for the Spring Break Challenge which will feature games that test physical fitness from 11 a.m. to noon.
