Pool named Lady Wildcats’ basketball coach

Trigg County High School has turned over the keys to its girls’ basketball program to former Wildcat Drew Pool.

According to a post on the school’s Facebook post on Monday, Pool will take over the program for the 2026-27 season. He is a 2008 graduate of Trigg County High School and played football, basketball, baseball and powerlifting for the Wildcats.

Pool is also a graduate of the University of Cumberlands and has been an assistant boys’ basketball coach at Todd County Central, and assistant girls’ basketball coach at Russellville High School, among other coaching stints.

He has most recently been an assistant basketball coach with the AAU Vette City Bulls in Bowling Green.

Pool replaces Greg Stephens, who resigned following the 2025-26 season where he led the team to a 12-14 record.
