Police arrest man for drug trafficking after executing search warrants

Officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit arrested Donald Harris of Hopkinsville for drug trafficking after executing two search warrants on Friday.

According to a report from police, search warrants were executed at residences on Braden Street and Colonette Drive. During the search, officers reportedly found approximately a pound of suspected methamphetamine, 63 grams of suspected cocaine, 15 grams of suspected fentanyl, 43 grams of marijuana, a handgun and a large sum of money.

Harris was charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance for fentanyl, trafficking in marijuana and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
