Police arrest Louisville woman for drug trafficking

Hopkinsville Police arrested Kashana Miller of Louisville on drug trafficking charges after officers reportedly conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle she was operating and found her to be in possession of marijuana and synthetic drugs on Thursday.

According to a report from police, Miller was witnessed by officers driving east on Sharpe Street with her windows down. As she passed officers, they reportedly smelt a strong marijuana odor and conducted a traffic stop on Miller.

Miller allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day and to being in possession of a firearm and a small bag of marijuana. A search of Miller’s vehicle reportedly yielded two wrapped plastic bags with one containing marijuana and the other containing a darker herbal substance suspected to be synthetic marijuana or spice.

Along with the bags, police reportedly found a glass pipe, a digital scale, an open container of alcohol and various bills of U.S. currency.

Miller was charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle.
