Hopkinsville Police arrested 20-year-old Madison Klar of Hopkinsville on Saturday after she reportedly shot a man during a domestic dispute.
According to a report, officers responded to the area of Y’all’s Convenience Store along East 9th Street where they made contact with a man who had been shot in the leg. After the man was located, dispatchers received a call from Klar who allegedly told them that a domestic assault occurred at a residence on Bryan Street.
Officers reportedly found that the pair were engaged in a domestic dispute when Klar shot the man. Klar also admitted to shooting the man in the leg.
Klar was charged with second-degree assault domestic violence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
