Pettus-Rowland appointed to Ky. Bar Association Board of Governors

A Hopkinsville native is been appointed to serve a two-year term as a citizen member of the Board of Governors for the Kentucky Bar Association.

Mary Pettus-Rowland was nominated for the position by Justice Shea Nickell of the First Appellate District, and then was unanimously approved by the court. The Kentucky Bar Association operates as a constitutionally recognized independent agency of the Supreme Court, with delegated authority to regulate the legal profession and provide services to the Commonwealth’s roughly 19,581 active and retired licensed attorneys.

Pettus-Rowland retired from the United States Enrichment Corporation after working nearly thirty years as a Power Operations Supervisor. She is the longtime owner and operator of Paducah’s Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home.

Alongside Pettus-Rowland, the other three current citizen members include Greg Caudill, CEO of the Farmers National Bank of Danville, Dr. Michael Knight, senior pastor of Madisonville’s Covenant Community Church, and Steve Ray, a retired Madisonville funeral home director.
