A man was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center on Christmas Eve, after he was struck by a vehicle on East Ninth Street in Hopkinsville.
According to the report from Hopkinsville police, it happened when around 7 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 63-year-old Jeffrey Calhoun of Madisonville was heading eastbound on East Ninth, having just turned off of South Virginia Street. That’s when 60-year-old Michael Oglesby reportedly stepped into the roadway and into his path and was struck by the vehicle.
Oglesby reportedly went over the hood of the car and shattered the windshield, and the report states he was wearing dark clothing.
He was rushed to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
