The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a fatality on Interstate 24 involving a pedestrian Wednesday night.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, the vehicle versus pedestrian collision happened around 9:45 p.m. near the Tennessee Welcome Center. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased. The roadway was shut down for several hours while investigators were on scene.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is conducting the investigation.
