Parks and Recreation to host grand opening celebration for Rotary Park

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Rotary Park in April.

Rotary Park neighbors the Pardue Lane Dog Park and includes sidewalk trails and a playground that promotes inclusive play for all ages. The playground reportedly cost around $850,000 and is around 13,600 square feet with multiple levels accessible by ramps.

Parks and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson says the park represents their commitment to building spaces that bring community members together and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play and connect.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 2 p.m. on April 28 at 151 Pardue Lane in Hopkinsville.
