A two-vehicle crash on Dr. Martin Luther King Way Monday sent a Hopkinsville teen to the hospital.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, the collision happened at the intersection of MLK Way and KY 1682, when a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Hopkinsville resident collided with the rear of another vehicle operated by 41-year-old Jamie Welch of Hopkinsville that was stopped at the light.
The teenager was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries to her neck—Welch and a passenger in the vehicle were not injured in the crash.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
