One hurt in Pennyrile Parkway collision

A Hopkinsville woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries following a two-vehicle crash on the Pennyrile Parkway Sunday.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Lasheona Reyes of Hopkinsville was heading south on the Parkway when the vehicle hydroplaned, and Reyes lost control of it, striking the guardrail head-on.

Another vehicle heading southbound and operated by 45-year-old Nicole Phelps of Earlington, and she was unable to avoid clipping the back of Reyes’ vehicle.

Reyes was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for Treatment of various injuries. Phelps was not injured.
